Welcome to Fade! You are Wade Zunic, someone recently kicked out of the prestigious Pen You Never City Game Development Program after making his game, Love Sees Differences. While grieving over this loss, as well as dealing with the trauma of everyone in the game development program calling him a monster for making his game, he tries to look for a source of inspiration, something to make him feel better. He remembers a toy monster that he lost on a boat trip, and as a result, he decides to find his toy monster, which has been broken to pieces and scattered across the Lost City of Atlantis.

Here is a playthrough of the game (outdated cutscenes)!

Objectives/Gameplay

  • There are 8 levels to play through.
  • Collect colored keys to unlock their respective colored doors.
  • Collect the toy monster piece to move on to the next level.
  • Keys and toy monster pieces make beeping noises when you're close!
  • For levels 5-8, they are procedurally generated, so if you get stuck for too long, you will be given a hint!

Nice work! The fact that you made a full game and multiple levels during this game jam is very impressive. I also really like that you made your game open source :)
